A 2″ clear cube lasts up to 3 times longer than standard freezer ice in the same glass. Less surface area meets the liquid, so it chills longer without diluting the drink. Spheres last even longer in a neat pour.

Keep it sealed in a bag or covered container in your freezer, away from strong-smelling food (fish, curry, garlic). Ice absorbs odours quickly. For best taste, use within a week of delivery. Bars and cafes with high turnover have no issue with this.

Take the cube out of the freezer and let it rest at room temperature for 2 to 3 minutes before liquid touches it. This warms the outer millimetre slightly and prevents thermal-shock cracks the moment a chilled spirit or coffee hits the cube. Skipping tempering is the most common cause of split cubes.

Place the tempered cube into the glass first. Tilt the glass slightly and pour the liquid down the inside wall, not directly onto the cube. The drink wraps around the ice instead of hammering it. For engraved cubes, pour on the side opposite the engraved face so the logo stays sharp for longer.

Rocks glass or whisky tumbler for the 5 cm cube and 5.5 cm sphere. Highball or Collins glass for the 4 cm by 11 cm cylinder. Narrow tall glass for the square column. As a rule of thumb, the ice should fit the glass with a small gap, not jam against the wall.

Until the moment you need it, keep the ice in an insulated container (cooler box, vacuum-insulated bag) rather than out on the bar top. Use stainless steel tongs to handle each cube; bare hands warm the surface and leave residue. We deliver insulated and sealed, so the ice is at order temperature when it arrives.
